Tonight I was so excited to present an evening book talk and signing at
Located in a hip, neighborhood gathering place off West Camelback Road and Third Avenue called The Newton, Changing Hands is also the home of the First Draft Book Bar, a great spot to meet a friend or two to enjoy a cup of coffee, beer, or wine, or a bar bite or pastry while perusing their literary offerings, or before or after a book signing event in one of the store’s beautiful meeting rooms.
After speaking and reading a few passages from my book, the attendees and I engaged in a wonderful question and answer session. Some of their questions were how I was able to tap into my inner child in order to unravel the old “tapes” that were no longer serving me, the process of finding my voice and inner strength through vulnerability, and the clarity, lessons, and blessings found through adversity, among other topics.
Many people not only said they resonated with my story, but that they felt comfortable enough to share their challenges, insights, and inspiration to move forward.
It was an exciting and heart-warming evening!
