What has 2,882 guest rooms, over a dozen distinctive restaurants and lounges, more than 600,000 sq. ft. of meeting and convention space (that’s over 10 times the size of a football field!), and a wide array of other exciting features and attractions?
The resort (called Opryland for short) is the flagship of the Gaylord Hotels® brand - widely recognized and celebrated for what they call their “Everything in one place” concept. And indeed, once inside, guests will find, well, most everything they need, from luxurious rooms to taste-tempting dining options, world-class entertainment, and spectacular scenery designed to celebrate the heritage of their destinations, all within close proximity to popular city sites and attractions.
The hotel family is diverse, encompassing the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL; the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, TX (approximately 22 miles from Dallas); the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD (right outside of Washington, D.C.); and their newest property, opening in late 2018, the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver, CO.
Each of the Opryland’s 2,882 guest rooms—a combination Atrium, Executive and Traditional Views, some with parlor rooms and others with throwback, Murphy beds—offers a distinctive flavor and flair of Music City, including 171 suites and five themed presidential suites.
Whether you’re on a romantic vacation, a weekend girl’s/guys trip, traveling with the family, or visiting as part of a convention or meeting group, you’ll find plenty of culinary diversions to whet your appetite.
Among them is Cascades American Café, serving modern classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a dramatic atrium setting; Wasabi’s, the hotel’s popular sushi bar set inside Cascades American Café; and The Conservatory Wine Bar in The Falls lobby lounge, featuring small plates and hand-crafted cocktails in a breathtaking setting overlooking twin waterfalls.
For a more upscale dining experience, try Ravello, treating guests to upscale dinners inspired by the Italian coastal town by the same name, or Jack Daniel's where whiskey fans can sample directly from the distillery while dining on excellent, traditional, fare of the South.
The Old Hickory Steakhouse (inspired by President Andrew Jackson’s nickname), is the hotel’s signature restaurant and the place to enjoy some of the best steaks, seafood, and other upscale culinary dishes paired with an extensive wine list and superb craft cocktail creations.
Lighter themed eats include at Stax Burgers, Findley’s Irish Pub, the Conservatory Café, Fuse Sports Bar, The Cocoa Bean, Solario Cantina and Delta Delight Frozen Yogurt.
To keep your bod in shape during your travels, the Opryland possesses a state-of-the-art, 3,500 sq. ft. fitness center, three swimming pools, and the Relâche Spa, a European-inspired spa featuring everything from facials to salon services, massages, body treatments and more for men, women and kids.
For the golfer in your group, only 10 minutes away you’ll find the Gaylord Springs Golf Links, a par-72, 18-hole, Scottish links-style course, anchored by a 43,000 sq. ft. clubhouse.
