I’m so grateful to the hundreds of people who have purchased my book: I Cried. And People Loved Me Anyway.
It’s the story of how my life completely fell apart due to a series of setbacks over a short period of time. And I was—literally—ready to check out. No longer able to maintain the subconscious façades I had built up since childhood, the master of coverups I had become shattered into bits, and all that was left was me. And I had no idea who I really was.
But through seeking help, faith, self-forgiveness, practicing spiritual principles, a lot of unconditional love, and making a conscious decision every day that my life has value and worth, I moved from the depths of despair to living a truly authentic life filled with passion and purpose.
To date I’ve held book talks and signings (you can watch my inaugural book talk on my YouTube channel) in Kansas City, Ft. Lauderdale, Phoenix, St. Charles, MO, Grapevine, TX, Sedona, and Atlanta, just to name a few, and I’m so grateful for the outpouring of love and support I’ve received.
What I hope people will learn from my book is that you are not alone. Sometimes we just need to “let it rip” and have a good cry. And if you hang in there, you will come out of a challenging time with the gusto and tools to live a life full of passion, authenticity and purpose.
You just need to believe in yourself
because you are far more than you know!

Here are a few of them:
Riveting from start to finish, Lysa bares her soul in this story of how she hit rock bottom and rose from the depths of despair. I’m motivated to press on!
Lysa’s Story is relatable to all of us. I felt inspired and sad and uplifted all while traveling along with her on her journey. A really great read.
Vulnerability and courage go hand in hand in this honest, hard-hitting book by Lysa Alman-Baldwin. It's only human to want to appear successful and to please people, but Lysa pulls back the veil and shows us how facing her imperfections truly made her stronger, more lovable and more loving.
Lysa Allman-Baldwin is a travel writer by profession. “I Cried” chronicles a trip of a different type. Her transparent, gutsy look at the journey toward transforming her long held limiting beliefs is full of twists and turns. And it’s a heart-led road map for anyone who wants to explore the terrain of their own greatness.
Lastly, following are a few affirmations as a thank you gift from me. Try them on for size and see how you feel!
“Everywhere I have been, and where I am now,
was designed to lead me where I am going.”
“I am going to live authentically and be myself, no matter who that is.”
“I am being called to move further into my greatness.”
Thank you again and happy reading!
