Those who know me well know that I love to eat! I love different varieties of food, from distinct parts of the world, and I come from a family of foodies. While we are eating one meal, we’re talking about and plotting the next! A lot of people eat to live, but we live to eat!
In our world where people are more diet conscious and trying to improve their health, they’re trying things like “Meatless Mondays.” And while these are great ways to lighten some of the stress and effort needed to digest your food, it's also a wonderful way to way to clear up your mind from thoughts and ideas that are not serving (pardon the pun!) you.
So what can you remove from your mental, emotional, and/or spiritual diet? What is the thing that you may have been eating YOU for quite some time? What is adding emotional baggage and weight on you? What heaviness or fear are you ingesting on a regular basis?
We know that we can reduce our caloric intake in our food. Well, we also have that same ability to do it from our mind, heart, and spirit
So for this Meatless Monday, what are you willing to take off your plate? And not just for the day for the day, but for good?
I ate stuff that wasn't good for me for years – unworthiness, fear, anxiety, depression, societal pressures … Nobody forced them down my throat, but I was a willing diner at the table. But once I started looking at my life like a buffet where I get to pick and choose what I put on my plate, my body—internally and externally—completely changed. I'm happier, more confident, and my health and wellness are much better overall.
You can do it too!
Happy “Meatless Mondays” everyone!
